The Earl Hall Center
The mission of the Earl Hall Center is to foster learning through spiritual, ethical, religious and cultural exchange, and to promote service to the University and its surrounding New York City communities.
The Earl Hall Center includes the Office of the University Chaplain, Community Impact, Religious Life Advisers, and Columbia Community Service.
Community Impact
Founded in 1987, Community Impact is a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing, shelter, education, job training, and fellowship for residents in the surrounding Harlem, Washington Heights, and Morningside Heights communities.
A dedicated corps of faculty, staff, and more than 950 Columbia University student volunteers participate in 25 different community service programs that serve over 16,000 people each year. Community Impact also partners with 100 community organizations.

Religious Life Advisers
Religious Life Advisers (RLA) is an umbrella organization comprised of clergy of different faith traditions and lay people. RLA serves the needs of the diverse religious communities at Columbia University.
In addition to traditional religious ceremonies, services and pastoral counseling, the RLA offer a wide assortment of lectures, outreach projects and discussion groups.
